flavor tripping
He believes that the best way to encounter the fruit is in a group. “You need other people to benchmark the experience,” he said. At his first party, a small gathering at his apartment in January, guests murmured with delight as they tasted citrus wedges and goat cheese. Then things got trippy.
“You kept hearing ‘oh, oh, oh,’ ” he said, and then the guests became “literally like wild animals, tearing apart everything on the table.”
“It was like no holds barred in terms of what people would try to eat, so they opened my fridge and started downing Tabasco and maple syrup,” he said.

ratatat - mirando
"Tucked away in a private studio named Old Soul, in Catskill, NY the two musical forces behind Ratatat, Evan and Mike, have collaborated yet again to redefine the current state of instrumental music. This time, the album is called LP3 and though it doesn't use much in the way of hi-tech recording equipment it's still laced with a unique balance of penetrating beats and ethereal riffs."
SO. PSYCHED.

War For Territory
The jaded crowd neither rejoiced nor lamented. After all, the horrific attacks against immigrants around Johannesburg had already been going on for a week, and in their eyes the victim was just some Malawian or Zimbabwean, another casualty in the continuing purge.

Serial Killers
Do you like Donnie Darko? Do you like tight, fast, technical metal? Do like really short albums? If you answered yes to any of those questions, then try this: Ed Gein It's a Shame a Family Can Be Torn Apart by Something as Simple as a Pack of Wild Dogs. Because it's true. It's so, so true. myspace dl

Mouth Breeding
Incubation time of the eggs depending on temperature is roughly 10 days. During this time the female will move her mouth in a ‘chewing’ action. This is to try and make sure that the eggs receive plenty of oxygen and circulation. After 5-6 days you will see her mouth jerking a bit - this is the developing fry ‘jumping’ around in her mouth. You will actually see the fry eyes through the buccal cavity. After 10 to 14 days the female will gradually begin releasing fry. At first they may not swim properly, after all there are about 100 of them crammed in there.

Guilty Pleasure
I'm really digging this band. Its got volume and a healthy pace mixed with some epic climaxes.
Kind of all over the place in terms of influences but in a cool way. Makes for an involving listening experience.
Man, I should write for Pitchfork.

So this guy walks into a bar...
This CD is one of my favorites of all time. A Steve Albini project from 1987, the band name comes from a Japanese comic book. This stuff is raw. And loud. With lots of drums. Yes. Check it out if you like good music. myspace dl
